FAQ

How does cruising work?

A deposit is required to reserve a cabin for a cruise. It can range from $50-$100. Your balance is due 30 days before departure. Check into your cabin after you arrive at port. You may then participate in one or more of the many activities onboard.

Can I bring my pet along?

Most cruise lines allow pets traveling on board. There are restrictions, though. The first is to make sure your pet can travel. Pets too sick to travel should be kept away from the plane. You cannot bring service dogs or any other animals to board. Service dogs are trained for disabled persons. Finally, any type of dangerous animal cannot be brought aboard.

Which type of cabin should I choose?

Consider the size of your cabin when you are considering buying one. Are you comfortable sharing a bathroom with another person? Or would you prefer to use your own bathroom? Is noise important to you? Will you spend most of your time in the dining area or relaxing in your stateroom? Think about whether you want an interior view or a patio. Balconies offer more space but can sometimes be noisy. Interior views are typically quieter then balconies.

How To

How to stay safe while on a cruise ship

Before you embark on your cruise, there are many things that you need to know. To avoid getting into trouble, you must know how to behave onboard. Here are some safety tips that will help you enjoy your trip.

  1. Pay attention to your surroundings at all costs. People often gather onboard cruise ships to share meals. It is easy to lose sight of your task when you are surrounded by people who want food and chat. This should not distract from what you are supposed do. If you witness someone smoking or drinking alcohol, please tell them politely that they must stop.
  2. Always keep your room key close to you when you board the ship, and hand over your room key to the person checking you in. This way, they'll know where to find you if anything happens to you. Make sure you have your passport handy too.
  3. Keep valuables away from prying eyes. Most cabins have drawers under their beds. That's a great place to store valuables such as passports, credit cards, and money. Also, make sure nothing valuable is visible in plain view. Place your bags in the closet.
  4. Keep hydrated. It can be hard to remember that cruise ships provide ample water. You can take advantage of the complimentary bottled water onboard. Avoid becoming dehydrated. Dehydration can make you tired and cranky, which can lead to fights or other accidents.
  5. Attention to announcements. Announcements can be found everywhere including on television screens and on public address systems. They include safety procedures, emergency exits, and even weather reports. These announcements are important. These announcements might save your own life.
  6. Do not leave your cabin without first locking the door. No matter how helpful a crew member appears, you should never leave your cabin unlocked. Thieves often break in through unlocked doors. If you need to use the restroom, ask a crew member for permission first.
  7. Avoid going too far. If you fall overboard, it takes time for the ship's crew to rescue you. You may attract sharks or other sea creatures to your body while you are still on the ship's crew. The best thing to do is wait until help arrives.
  8. It is forbidden to smoke in the elevator. These elevators are pressurized and smoke can build up quickly. Get off immediately if you feel dizzy or lightheaded. It doesn't necessarily mean that breathing is safe, even though the outside air is clean.
  9. Know how to evacuate. Every year, thousands are killed in elevator accidents. If an emergency occurs, follow the instructions on the screen.
  10. Get familiar with the fire drill. Fire drills take place regularly, almost every day. Everyone on deck must evacuate when there is a drill. Follow the instructions given by crew members. After the drill is completed, return to your cabin and lock it.
  11. Ask questions before accepting food or drinks. Cruisers frequently experience food poisoning. Many people don't realize that certain foods aren't safe to eat while onboard a ship. Raw oysters, for example, are not allowed on most cruise ships. If you're not sure whether the food being served is safe, you can politely decline it and opt for another meal.
  12. When using the pool, be careful. There have been many cases of passengers falling into the pools accidentally. Do not be alarmed if you fall in the pool. It is also possible to slip on the ground. Make sure you have the right footwear and pay attention around you.
